Students and staff of St Paul’s attended a beginning of the school year mass on Friday 4th Oct. The mass was celebrated by Fr Liam Merrigan in the Church of St Peter and St Paul. St Paul’s Choir, Band and Trad Group provided the music for the ceremony and the school community was very fortunate to have the social media star Fabu D attend as a guest speaker – his humour, words and advice were a great addition to the occasion. The mass was a lovely way to kick off the year, taking a moment to reflect on all our own individual intentions and as a community. A big thank you has to be extended to our very own 6th Year Student Rachel Farrell, who took the lead in designing and coordinating the liturgy for the mass as part of her Papal Cross Award. Thank you also to Fr Merrigan for his time and commitment and to Fabu D for sharing his inspirational voice and lightening the mood with his humour. Last but not least, a huge thank you to all the students and staff of St Paul’s who helped to make the mass such a success.
