St Paul’s Headstrong Ambassadors receives Cycle Against Suicide Ambassador School Status for the third consecutive year

We are thrilled to announce that St Paul’s has been awarded the Cycle Against Suicide Ambassador School Status for their commitment to mental health awareness, support, and resilience-building among our students. This prestigious recognition highlights our Headstrong Ambassadors hard work, dedication, and passion for creating a supportive, inclusive environment for all.

The Headstrong Cycle Against Suicide Ambassador School Program is an evidence based, peer to peer initiative that promotes positive mental health awareness in schools across Ireland. This program recognizes schools that implement effective mental health and well-being practices, ensuring that students know it’s “OK not to feel OK; and it’s absolutely OK to ask for help.” Schools receiving this status demonstrate leadership in supporting student mental health through outreach, education, and proactive well-being activities.

As a group of dedicated students and staff, Headstrong is focused on normalizing conversations around mental health, reducing stigma, and building resilience in our school community. From organizing mental health awareness events to providing peer support and educational peer-to-peer teaching, the team has actively contributed to fostering an environment of care and understanding.

This status reinforces our school’s values and strengthens our determination to continue supporting each student’s emotional and psychological health. It is a reminder that together, we are stronger, and we can build a more inclusive and resilient school community.

We are excited to continue this journey and are proud to be recognized as a Cycle Against Suicide Ambassador School.

Finally, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the students, staff, parents, and community members who have supported our efforts. Together, we are making a difference. Let’s continue to prioritise mental health and work towards a future where everyone feels safe, supported, and heard.
