Our School Ethos

St. Paul’s Secondary School aims to provide a well-rounded education that goes beyond academics, emphasizing community, values, and the holistic development of each student in alignment with its Catholic ethos.

Principal’s Message

Welcome to St Paul’s Secondary School Website. St Paul’s is a large catholic co-educational
secondary school under the patronage of the Bishop of Kildare and Leighlin. At St Paul’s we are
committed to providing a high-quality educational experience for the young people of Monasterevin
and surrounding areas. As a diverse and inclusive DEIS school we benefit from additional resources,
supports and structures to provide the best opportunities for our students.
We offer all the Department of Education second level academic courses catering for all learners and
abilities. Through a comprehensive curriculum and subject choice, we provide students with the
opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skills needed for adult life, the world of work and
progression to third level. Our innovative, hardworking and dedicated staff are committed to
continually improving the quality of teaching, learning and student achievement.
We believe in the holistic education of our students as we prepare them for adulthood and lifelong
learning. We offer students a comprehensive range and variety of sporting and extracurricular
activities that are tailored to suit the students’ skills, interests and talents. Additionally, we offer
courses and opportunities to students for personal development, academic betterment and active
student involvement.
The school is located within the beautiful mature grounds of Moore Abbey Estate. The new school
on the greenfield site opened its doors to students in September 2023 after a long wait. We are very
fortunate to have a modern, state of the art school with all the facilities and resources to
complement and enhance contemporary teaching, learning and education.
Yours sincerely,
Brian Bergin
